Dean Ormonde- Visual Literacy Blog #1
Blog Post #1
I'm not exactly sure how to begin with a blog post like this, but the plan is to show and describe 5 pictures and give a reason for its significants to me.
This is a picture of me with a frog I caught in Texas. It took me longer than my cousins to catch my first frog, but I still had a lot of fun. On this day, the temperature was up to 113 degrees and when this picture was taken at 10:00 pm, it was 85 degrees.
This summer my family went on vacation to Hawaii. Hawaii is filled with tons of beautiful scenery and untouched nature. I took this picture because I loved the view and wanted to remember it as best I could.
I took this picture while in Texas to visit my aunt and my cousins. I always heard how the sky is bigger in Texas as well as the Sun. This picture doesn't do any justice, but this was the day I learned that everything is bigger in Texas.
This is another Texas picture. I took this a Global Life stadium, the home of the Texas Rangers. The whole stadium was air conditioned and the stands were packed with passionate fans even when playing a sub par team like the white sox. The Rangers ended up winning the 2023 World Series a few months later.
This is the first picture I took of Dubuque. I got to spend the weekend with my parents where we explored some of the attractions that this city offers. I remember taking this pictures because I was so nervous for my family to go back home later that weekend.
